George Bakalov was born and raised in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. He became a Christian in 1989, shortly before the fall of the Berlin wall and the end of Communist regime in Bulgaria.Only a year later the Lord called him into the full time ministry and he started a new church in Sofia, which grew to around 1000 members in four short years.
In the last decade, the church, known today as Breakthrough Christian Center, has been actively involved in impacting Bulgaria and the Balkan region by organizing and hosting different evangelistic campaigns, international believer's conferences, media ministry and apostolic networking among leadership.

George has traveled and ministered in 23 different nations in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. His radical message of reformation and revival has stirred thousands of believers to pursue the Kingdom of God first.
